AmiDeb is a bare Linux install with just enough to run FS-UAE. It is NOT Amilator, but is based on the idea’s of Amilator. At the end of the installation of AmiDeb you have a real Debian Linux system, with the benefit of being able to update and customize the system. (Unlike Amilator). Running a Text based front end, FS-UAE is then launched for your Amiga experience.
Established in 1992, Aminet is a massive archive of freely available software for the Amiga computer. It’s one of the oldest and largest software repositories of its kind, with its collection having grown to over 60 GB. Aminet is run by a team of unpaid volunteers.
The server offers access to Newsgroups for Bulletin Board System (BBS) operators (Sysops). It accomplishes this by "gating" the newsgroup articles, into a format that can be easily displayed and used on a BBS. This service helps keep these vintage computer communities connected, and is run as a not-for-profit hobby, offering free access to text-only Usenet News.
The weatherstation is at Lake Burrumbeet, Located 12Km west of Ballarat. It has been in operation since 2017 in it's current form, with a forced software change in 2021 to WeeWX.
